Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

– SMPS Topologies: Flyback, forward, half-bridge, full-bridge, LLC resonant converters
– AC-DC Converters: Design experience with 90%+ efficiency targets (100W-500W range)
– Power Factor Correction: CCM, DCM, and CrCM PFC topologies; active & passive techniques
– Magnetics Design: Transformer/inductor design, core selection, winding techniques
– Control Systems: Loop design, compensation networks, stability analysis
– PCB Layout: Power electronics best practices, EMI/EMC mitigation
– Tools: Altium/KiCAD, LTspice/PSIM, oscilloscopes, power analyzers
